Taking the opportunity of celebrating the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, the Party Committee of the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering organized nearly 70 faculty and labor party members went to Dapeng from November 7 to 8, 2020 to carry out the "Welcome to the Special Economic Zone for 40 Years, Reform and Opening Up" themed party day activities. Guide and encourage party members not to forget the original intention of reform and opening up, do not forget the original intention of establishing special economic zones, and stand at the new historical starting point of building a pioneering demonstration zone of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and continue to work hard. 

The activity visited Shenzhen Dapeng Peninsula National Geopark, Dapeng Suocheng, Shayuyong Red Memory Exhibition Hall, Dongjiang Column North Retreat Memorial Park, and the former site of Dongjiang Column Headquarters. A ceremony was also held for answering knowledge, singing patriotic and party songs, and offering flowers to the martyrs monument.
